Associate Cyber Security Engineer
About the role
The Associate Cyber Security Engineer at MintHRM will be responsible for monitoring security systems, investigating alerts, supporting incident response, conducting vulnerability assessments, and assisting with compliance activities. The role involves supporting patch management, security documentation, and collaborating with IT and engineering teams to implement security best practices. Candidates should have a degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, IT, or equivalent practical experience, along with basic networking knowledge and familiarity with security tools. Must have
- A degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, IT, or equivalent practical experience.
- 1–2 years of experience in cybersecurity, IT, or networking. Internships and hands-on projects are an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, and VPNs) and core security principles.
- Familiarity with security tools such as Wazuh, Nmap, Burp Suite, or Metasploit.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills, with a proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
Nice to have
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, PJPT, or eJPT.
- Exposure to scripting (Python, Bash, or PowerShell), cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP), MITRE ATT&CK, or compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST, or PCI-DSS.
