Integration & Platform Engineer (AUS SHIFT , AUS CALENDAR)
About the role
The Integration & Platform Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining system integrations using APIs, webhooks, and integration platforms. The role involves managing and enhancing automations on Workato or similar iPaaS platforms, developing and maintaining Azure-based cloud infrastructure, and writing scripts or small applications to extend integration capabilities. The engineer will apply version control and CI/CD practices, contribute to solution architecture, and use AI tools to improve integration development and troubleshooting. Collaboration with technology and business stakeholders is also a key part of the role. Candidates should have relevant qualifications and experience in platform engineering, system integration, and cloud platforms, with proficiency in programming or scripting languages.
Must have
- Relevant academic and/or professional qualifications in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in platform engineering, system integration, API development, integration platform management, or a similar role.
- Experience with Azure or another major cloud platform, with the ability to operate and troubleshoot cloud-hosted services.
- Hands-on experience with Workato or a comparable integration/iPaaS platform such as MuleSoft, Boomi, or Azure Logic Apps, with Workato experience considered an added advantage.
- Solid understanding of APIs, webhooks, and common integration patterns, with practical experience using version control tools such as Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency in programming or scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or C# to build and extend integration solutions.
- Working knowledge of AI-assisted tools and the ability to apply them to support development, troubleshooting, and problem-solving activities.
- Experience contributing to solution architecture, technical design, or integration platform initiatives.
- Exposure to API management, monitoring, observability, security, or identity management will be an added advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills, effective communication skills, a self-starter mindset, and the ability to work independently with a strong focus on delivery.
