Senior Software Engineer
About the role
The Senior Software Engineer at CodeGen International will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade software products, with a focus on scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions. The role involves building web application features using Angular or React, developing backend services with Java and Spring, and ensuring code quality and security. The engineer will also mentor junior team members, act as a subject matter expert, and contribute to Agile/Scrum processes. Candidates should have a strong background in both frontend and backend technologies, experience with RDBMS, and a solid understanding of software engineering principles.
Must have
- BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent professional qualification.
- 03 to 04 years of total hands-on software engineering experience, including at least 1 year in a Senior Software Engineer (SSE) capacity.
- Deep technical expertise with modern frontend tech stacks (HTML, CSS, and Angular or React).
- Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices architecture.
- Hands-on experience with RDBMS technologies (Oracle, MySQL) & JPA.
- Strong understanding of OOP, Design Patterns, SOLID principles, and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
- Strong analytical thinking & excellent problem-solving skills with a proven track record in past projects.
- Proven ability to leverage agentic AI coding assistants to accelerate development workflows, optimize code generation, and increase overall engineering velocity.
- Growth mindset, clear communication, and sound leadership.
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with cloud-native technologies, containerization, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and cloud platform deployments.
- Experience engaging directly with clients to translate business challenges into robust technical solutions.
