About the role
The IT Administrator will provide day-to-day IT services for the Colombo operation, including resolving technical issues, managing user accounts and access, maintaining systems and network infrastructure, monitoring IT security compliance, and coordinating IT equipment and external service providers. The role involves troubleshooting, technical support for Microsoft 365, hardware maintenance, IT infrastructure administration, security monitoring, system updates, backups, and supporting business continuity and disaster recovery. The position requires strong technical, troubleshooting, communication, and coordination skills, and the ability to manage changing priorities effectively.
Must have
- Degree in information technology, or secondary education with relevant technical qualifications.
- At least four years of experience in IT support within an enterprise or hybrid cloud environment, or in an IT administration role.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, and IT service management platforms, including ServiceNow.
- Working knowledge of local area networks (LANs), Wi-Fi, switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity, cloud security, multi-factor authentication (MFA), and zero-trust security concepts.
- Knowledge of backup and recovery, IT asset management, configuration management, and IT purchasing.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Strong teamwork, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- A high level of professionalism, integrity, and accountability.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work collaboratively.
Nice to have
- Certifications in ITIL, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure administration, networking, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Endpoint Manager, ServiceNow, or Cisco technologies would be an advantage.
