Senior Security Engineer
About the role
The role is for a Security Engineer or Senior Security Engineer to join a Security Operations Center (SOC) team at a company specializing in data-driven transformation for the Financial Services industry. The position involves securing cloud and on-premises environments, managing endpoint and email security, supporting threat detection, incident response, and compliance initiatives. The engineer will work with Microsoft security tools, develop automation playbooks, conduct vulnerability scans, and collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines. The role also includes automating tasks using scripting languages and supporting compliance with standards such as SOC2 and ISO 27001.
Must have
- 2+ years of experience in security operations (cloud and endpoint)
- Hands-on experience with Azure Sentinel, the Microsoft Defender suite and Intune
- Familiarity with SOC2, ISO 27001 and vulnerability management tools
- Scripting skills in PowerShell, Python or Terraform
- Knowledge of IAM, RBAC and network security
Nice to have
- Experience with KQL for Azure Sentinel queries
- Familiarity with Logic Apps for security automation
- Certifications such as AZ-500, CEH or AWS Security Specialty
