DevOps Engineer
About the role
Surge Global is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join their team in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The role involves building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for Java services, web, and mobile applications, managing environments from development to production, implementing infrastructure as code, automating mobile app build and release pipelines, and supporting deployment strategies. The ideal candidate will have experience with CI/CD tooling, Docker, Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, and scripting, as well as experience working within enterprise security and change-control environments. Must have
- 4+ years in DevOps or platform engineering
- CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitLab CI or Azure DevOps) with pipelines you built yourself
- Docker and Kubernetes in production
- Infrastructure as code (Terraform or Ansible); scripting in Bash or Python
- Working within enterprise security and change-control constraints
Nice to have
- On-premise or hybrid cloud in a bank, including data residency constraints
- Mobile CI/CD (Fastlane or equivalent)
- Secrets management (Vault or equivalent)
