Presales Engineer – Enterprise Infrastructure
About the role
The Presales Engineer – Enterprise Infrastructure at IT Gallery is responsible for supporting the sales team and partners by understanding customer requirements, designing infrastructure solutions, and preparing technical proposals and presentations. The role involves conducting product demonstrations, supporting proof-of-concept deployments, and providing technical guidance throughout the sales cycle. Key tasks include responding to customer inquiries, aligning solutions with best practices in security, networking, and infrastructure, coordinating with vendors and internal teams, documenting solution architectures, assisting with integration planning, and facilitating post-sales handover to implementation and support teams. The position is full-time and based on-site in Ja-ela, Sri Lanka, and requires strong presales, technical support, integration, and security skills, as well as relevant educational qualifications or professional experience.
Must have
- Candidates should possess strong presales and sales skills, including requirement gathering, solution design, proposal development, and supporting the sales team in customer engagements.
- Candidates should possess technical support skills to troubleshoot infrastructure issues, respond to technical queries, and provide guidance during proof-of-concept and evaluation phases.
- Candidates should possess integration skills to design end-to-end solutions that combine networking, security, storage, and related systems, ensuring interoperability and scalability.
- Candidates should possess security skills, including familiarity with information security principles, network security technologies, and best practices for securing enterprise infrastructure.
- Relevant degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Good understanding of enterprise infrastructure technologies such as networking, servers, storage, virtualization, and cloud concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with clear communication and presentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, manage multiple opportunities, and maintain accurate documentation and reports.
Nice to have
- Industry certifications (such as Cisco, Microsoft, VMware, nutanix, security or networking-related) are an advantage.
