About the role
The Head of Information Technology at Amana Takaful Insurance will lead the IT function, overseeing technology operations, infrastructure, and enterprise applications. The role involves developing and executing IT strategy, ensuring high standards of cybersecurity, managing IT budgets and projects, and driving digital transformation and technology-enabled business improvements. The successful candidate will also be responsible for disaster recovery, regulatory readiness, and building a high-performing technology team. Amana Takaful Insurance is a leading Sri Lankan insurance provider with a strong focus on digital transformation and customer experience.
Must have
- A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline; postgraduate qualification preferred.
- 10+ years’ progressive experience in IT, including significant leadership experience in a regulated or financial-services environment.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, enterprise applications, cybersecurity, cloud, data and IT governance.
- Experience leading digital transformation and technology projects.
- Sound understanding of technology risk, business continuity and regulatory requirements.
- Strong vendor, budget and stakeholder management skills.
- Strategic thinker with strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
Nice to have
- Professional certifications such as CISM, CISSP, ITIL, COBIT, PMP or equivalent will be an advantage.
