Senior Software Engineer (IGT1)
About the role
As a Senior Software Engineer at IGT1, you will independently design, develop, and deliver scalable software features and solutions for enterprise-level products, working across the full stack with modern frameworks and cloud-native infrastructure. The role involves building and maintaining APIs, user interfaces, and backend services, leveraging AI-assisted coding tools, and ensuring code meets enterprise security and performance standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and promote engineering best practices while proactively addressing technical debt. The position is embedded within the team of WorkWave, a SaaS provider for field service management, and offers the opportunity to work on impactful global projects within a people-first, growth-oriented culture.
Must have
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 3–6 years of professional software engineering experience, with proven expertise in designing and developing modern web applications.
- Strong proficiency in frontend development using React (16–18) and modern JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystems, including state management, routing, and component-driven UI frameworks.
- Solid experience building, deploying, and maintaining backend services using Node.js and TypeScript.
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing cloud-native solutions using AWS services such as Lambda, ECS/Fargate, API Gateway, and related technologies.
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, monitoring, and DevOps best practices.
- Proven experience delivering large-scale enterprise software products in an agile development environment.
- Proven experience using advanced AI coding agents (specifically Claude Code, Gemini, Rovo, or GitHub Copilot) in a professional environment.
- Strong understanding of software design principles, system architecture, security best practices, and performance optimization.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders across global teams.
