Senior Software Engineer – .NET
About the role
The Senior Software Engineer – .NET will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining enterprise software solutions using C# and .NET technologies. The role focuses on building REST APIs, integrations, and supporting data migration and validation activities. Key responsibilities include participating in technical design discussions, managing task estimation and delivery, conducting code reviews, and maintaining technical documentation. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in C# and modern .NET development, proficiency in ASP.NET Core, REST API development, and SQL Server, as well as familiarity with Agile practices and CI/CD concepts. Must have
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong experience in C# and modern .NET development, including OOP, SOLID principles, design patterns, and clean coding practices.
- Proficiency in ASP.NET Core and REST API development.
- Strong SQL Server skills, including query optimization, data modelling, and data migration concepts.
- Experience with unit testing, automated testing, root cause analysis, and defect management.
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD concepts, and Agile development practices.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and ownership skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of service-oriented architecture, microservices, authentication, and background processing is an advantage.
- Exposure to Azure, containers, monitoring, observability, or Infrastructure as Code is desirable.
- Experience in legacy system modernization or data migration is an advantage.
- Frontend experience with React, TypeScript, or Blazor is desirable.
