Project Manager (Telecommunications)
About the role
Huawei is hiring a Project Manager for its telecommunications division in Sri Lanka. The role involves managing complex telecom projects from planning through to delivery and closure, leading cross-functional teams, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and under budget. Key responsibilities include developing project plans, coordinating with teams and vendors, monitoring progress, managing stakeholder expectations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and conducting post-project reviews. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in telecom project management, a relevant bachelor's degree, and strong knowledge of telecom technologies and project management tools.
Must have
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Technology, Electronics, Business or a related discipline.
- Experience in project management in the telecommunication sector.
- Proven experience working on telecom projects such as network rollout, infrastructure upgrades, or service deployments in Sri Lanka.
- Strong understanding of telecom technologies (e.g., 4G/5G, fiber optics, Core networks, Data centers).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Trello).
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
