E- Commerce Accountant
About the role
Digit Web Lanka is seeking an E-Commerce Accountant to join their Finance & Accounts Team in Thirunelvely, Jaffna. The role involves maintaining daily accounting records, managing accounts payable and receivable, performing reconciliations, supporting monthly reporting and audits, and handling e-commerce marketplace settlements. The position also requires monitoring international transactions, supporting product-level profitability analysis, and coordinating with other teams. Candidates should have a diploma or degree in accounting or finance, 1–3 years of relevant experience, strong Excel or Google Sheets skills, and a good understanding of accounting principles. The company offers opportunities to work with global e-commerce platforms and exposure to international transactions.
Must have
- Diploma / Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience
- Strong MS Excel / Google Sheets skills
- Good understanding of accounting principles and reconciliations
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Willingness to work full-time on-site in Jaffna
Nice to have
- Experience with Amazon, eBay, Shopify, Wayfair, Temu or similar marketplaces will be an added advantage, especially in: Marketplace settlement reconciliation, E-commerce sales reconciliation, Payment gateway reconciliation, Refund & cancellation accounting, International transactions, E-commerce profitability analysis
