3D Artist / 3D Developer
About the role
Sea Pony Studios, a Sri Lankan game development and interactive digital experiences studio, is seeking an entry-level 3D Artist / 3D Developer to join their art team in Rajagiriya, Sri Lanka. The role involves modeling 3D props, characters, and environments, creating textures and materials, preparing assets for game engines, and collaborating with designers and developers to bring art direction to life. Candidates should have working knowledge of Blender and Substance Painter, a good understanding of topology, skills in 3D modeling and texturing, and a portfolio of 3D work. The studio offers hands-on experience shipping games, mentorship, and a creative, friendly culture.
Must have
- Working knowledge of Blender for 3D modeling
- Working knowledge of Substance Painter for texturing
- A good understanding of topology and what makes an asset game-ready
- Skills in 3D asset modeling, environment design, and texturing
- A portfolio showing your 3D work (personal, academic, or freelance projects all count)
- A willingness to learn, take feedback, and grow with the team
Nice to have
- Experience creating assets for Roblox, Unity, or Unreal Engine
- Basic knowledge of UV unwrapping, baking, and PBR workflows
- An eye for stylized or low-poly art styles
