About the role

This role is for a Quality Assurance Engineer / Associate at ClinicTech, an Australian AI healthcare platform. The position focuses on hands-on quality assurance, including test strategy, automation, and release quality for APIs, microservices, and web applications. The engineer will work closely with founders and the engineering team, balancing both red team (attacker) and blue team (defender) testing approaches. Key responsibilities include owning end-to-end test plans, building automated test suites, defect management, and championing quality culture across the team. The company values a proactive, self-directed approach and strong communication skills.

Must have

3+ years hands-on software QA, with test automation at the core
Demonstrated results — bring coverage, defect-escape, and release-quality numbers, not job titles
Working knowledge of both red team and blue team testing — able to break a system and then harden it
Strong API and web-app testing; comfortable with automation tools (Playwright, Selenium, Postman or similar)
Excellent written and spoken English; you write clear test docs and bug reports for a clinical-grade product
Self-directed and remote-proven — you communicate before being chased

Nice to have

B2B SaaS, healthcare, or medtech testing experience
Testing AI / LLM-based systems, evals, or prompt-driven workflows
Security or penetration testing exposure, and red team tooling
AWS, microservices, and CI/CD pipeline testing
Awareness of SOC 2, healthcare privacy, or clinical safety standards
Performance and load testing experience
