QA Engineer
About the role
Thenex is seeking a QA Engineer on a contract basis to work on an international product. The role involves being engaged throughout the development lifecycle, from requirements to release, with responsibilities including functional and regression testing, API and web automation, integration testing, test case design, defect reporting, and close collaboration with developers to ensure product quality. Candidates will be expected to understand the product, identify risks, design and execute test scenarios, and contribute to the improvement of QA practices. The position offers exposure to international customers and stakeholders, and the opportunity to work fully remotely with flexible hours.
Must have
- 2+ years of experience in Software QA / Quality Engineering
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies
- Experience with functional and regression testing
- Experience creating test cases and test scenarios
- API testing experience, preferably with Postman
- Experience testing web applications
- Experience with defect tracking and reporting
- Basic SQL/database knowledge
- Understanding of SDLC and Agile development
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and documentation skills
- UI automation / test automation experience is a strong advantage.
