About the role

The QA Engineer will be responsible for managing QA activities throughout the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to release. Key responsibilities include analyzing requirements, designing comprehensive test scenarios, performing functional, regression, API, integration, and end-to-end testing, and developing automated tests using Playwright. The role also involves conducting API and database testing, investigating defects, collaborating with developers and stakeholders, integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, and leveraging AI-assisted tools to improve test coverage and debugging. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement with three days in the Colombo 5 office and two days working from home, along with benefits such as paid leave, career upskilling opportunities, and eLearning courses.

Must have

Own QA activities throughout the software development lifecycle, from requirements to release
Analyse requirements and design comprehensive test scenarios covering edge cases
Perform functional, regression, API, integration, and end-to-end testing
Develop and maintain automated tests using Playwright
Conduct API and database testing using Postman, SQL, and relevant tools
Investigate defects using DevTools, logs, network requests, and debugging tools
Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to identify and resolve defects
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
Apply risk-based testing to prioritise critical functionality
Leverage AI-assisted tools to improve test coverage, automation, and debugging
Continuously improve QA processes, automation coverage, and software quality
Minimum 3 years of experience
A diploma or degree in HR/Business Administration
