About the role
The DevOps Architect role focuses on designing and implementing scalable, multi-tenant cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles across AWS, Azure, or GCP. The position is responsible for standardizing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines, integrating security and compliance into build and deploy processes, and building self-service developer platforms. Additional responsibilities include designing observability and disaster recovery strategies, establishing cloud cost governance, and providing technical leadership and mentorship to DevOps and SRE teams.
Must have
- 8+ years of experience in DevOps, Infrastructure, or Software Architecture, with at least 3+ years in a Lead, Principal, or Architect capacity.
- Deep architectural expertise in cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), including multi-cloud or hybrid environments.
- Mastery of Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, OpenTofu, Ansible, Pulumi) for multi-environment provisioning.
- Advanced experience architecting production-grade Kubernetes environments (EKS, AKS, GKE), including service meshes (Istio/Linkerd) and GitOps tooling (ArgoCD, Flux).
- Proven track record designing enterprise pipeline orchestration (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Harness) and artifact workflows.
- Proficiency in at least two core languages (e.g., Python, Go, Bash, or TypeScript) for platform tooling and custom operator development.
