About the role

The Associate Software Architect at Bridge BSS Talent in Colombo, Sri Lanka, is responsible for providing technical leadership, driving solution design and implementation, and ensuring engineering excellence in delivering scalable, secure, and high-quality software solutions. Key responsibilities include technical leadership, enforcing architecture principles, API design, technical governance, performance optimization, and ensuring application security and compliance. Candidates should have a strong background in Java, API development, banking architecture, and DevSecOps practices, with a focus on enterprise application development and integration.

Must have

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline
10+ years of experience in software engineering, with proven experience in a technical leadership role
Proven experience leading software engineering teams in enterprise application development
Strong experience designing enterprise applications, APIs, and microservices
Strong understanding of BIAN architecture and enterprise integration standards
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, mentoring, and problem-solving skills

Nice to have

Experience in banking and financial services technology is highly desirable
