Middleware / Platform Engineer
About the role
This role is for a Middleware / Platform Engineer responsible for managing and operating Kafka and Redis environments, as well as overseeing middleware stacks such as Nginx, Tomcat, Apache HTTP Server, and Open Liberty. The position involves working with containerized workloads on Kubernetes, OpenShift, or Docker, and ensuring observability using Prometheus and Grafana. The engineer will also handle high availability, disaster recovery, backup, and replication for mission-critical platforms. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Kafka and Redis, and a strong understanding of load balancing, caching, pub/sub, and connection pooling.
Must have
- 3+ years in platform/infrastructure engineering
- Hands-on Kafka (cluster setup, partitioning, broker tuning)
- Hands-on Redis (Standalone, Sentinel, Cluster)
- Solid grip on load balancing, caching, pub/sub & connection pooling
