Senior Business Analyst - Fintech
About the role
Xeptagon is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join their team, focusing on client-facing responsibilities in the fintech and climate technology sectors. The role involves engaging with clients to understand and document business and operational requirements, translating these into digital solutions, and collaborating with engineering, QA, and project teams throughout the delivery process. The analyst will work on international projects related to climate finance, carbon markets, sustainability, and digital transformation, preparing documentation, supporting solution design, and coordinating with global partners. Candidates should have a relevant bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of industry experience in business analysis or related fields, with strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills. The position is based in Colombo Port City, Sri Lanka, with salaries paid in USD and exposure to international projects and clients.
Must have
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Management or a related field.
- 2+ years of industry experience in business analysis, product implementation, consulting or technology projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to understand both business requirements and technology.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work directly with clients and project teams.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team.
- Ability to take ownership and proactively move work forward.
- Comfortable learning new domains, technologies and products quickly.
Nice to have
- Experience in climate technology, sustainability, carbon markets, fintech, ESG, enterprise software or international development projects would be an advantage, but is not mandatory.
