Software Engineer Intern
About the role
The Software Engineer Intern at HPL will work closely with the lead developer to build and maintain frontend features for multiple web portals using React, Redux, and Semantic UI React. The role involves implementing UI components such as forms, data tables, modals, and dashboards that interact with REST APIs, as well as fixing UI bugs and improving screens based on user feedback. The intern will also be responsible for manual testing of user flows, maintaining regression test checklists, logging bugs, and verifying fixes and new features against requirements. This position offers real production experience, mentorship, and exposure to a full-stack system in a business management platform context.
Must have
- Studying or recently graduated in IT, Computer Science, or related field
- Solid understanding of React fundamentals (components, state, props, hooks)
- Basic knowledge of REST APIs
- Able to read and understand existing code
- Strong attention to detail
- Good written English for bug reporting
Nice to have
- Bonus: Redux, Node.js/Express, MongoDB, or Postman experience
