Senior Network Security Engineer
About the role
The Senior Network Security Engineer role is responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving network and security incidents, as well as configuring and maintaining enterprise network infrastructure. The position involves supporting technologies such as routers, switches, firewalls, wireless solutions, and cloud environments, and requires hands-on experience with security technologies like Palo Alto Firewalls, Cisco ASA, Cisco ISE, VPNs, and NAC. The role also includes supporting SD-WAN deployments, using monitoring tools, collaborating with teams and customers, maintaining documentation, and participating in on-call support. Must have
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Network & Security Engineering.
- Strong experience with Network Routing & Switching (Cisco and/or Juniper)
- Hands-on experience with Security Technologies including: Palo Alto Firewalls, Cisco ASA, Cisco ISE, VPN Technologies, Network Access Control (NAC)
- Experience in one or more of: SD-WAN (Fortinet, VMware VeloCloud, Juniper), Wireless Networking Solutions, Load Balancing Technologies (F5, NetScaler)
- Network Monitoring & Troubleshooting Tools: SolarWinds, Wireshark, Nagios, NetFlow, PRTG (advantageous)
- Cloud Networking Knowledge: Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Experience supporting enterprise network environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and incident management skills.
- Experience working directly with clients and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Customer-focused approach.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to have
- Previous Managed Services (MSP) experience will be highly advantageous.
