IT Executive - Virtualization & Cloud Infrastructure
About the role
The IT Executive - Virtualization & Cloud Infrastructure role at Cargills Bank PLC involves administering, optimizing, and supporting the enterprise virtualization environment. Key responsibilities include managing VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, vSAN, and enterprise virtualization infrastructure, configuring and supporting VMware Site Recovery Manager and Disaster Recovery environments, performing migrations and performance optimization, managing high-availability virtual infrastructure, working with Nutanix/HCI platforms, supporting DR testing and business continuity, monitoring infrastructure health, collaborating with networking and security teams, and maintaining technical documentation and standards. Candidates should have relevant IT qualifications and hands-on experience with VMware and server environments.
Must have
- Degree / Diploma or equivalent qualification in IT from a recognized institute
- Experience with vSAN and SRM/DR and Linux/Windows server environments
- Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi and vCenter
- Good understanding of enterprise servers, storage and SAN environments
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Nice to have
- 2-3 years of experience in Banking or financial institutions would be an added advantage
- Knowledge of Nutanix / HCI platforms will be an advantage
- VMware certifications such as VCP-DCV are highly desirable
