Media Assistant Cum Graphic Designer
About the role
Sri Lanka CERT is seeking a Media Assistant cum Graphic Designer to support media, graphic design, content creation, and communication activities. The role involves developing creative social media content, managing content calendars, creating print and digital designs, collaborating with the media team, assisting in video editing, monitoring social media engagement, maintaining branding, supporting media events, and coordinating with vendors. Candidates must have a relevant degree or diploma in Graphic Design or Visual Arts and proven experience in social media content creation within recognized organizations. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and strong communication skills are required. The position is based in Colombo and offers a salary aligned with industry standards and includes a travel allowance.
Must have
- Bachelor’s Degree (SLQF 5 or 6) in Graphic Design, Visual Arts or any other field relevant to the post, obtained from a local or foreign university, recognized by the University Grant Commission (UGC) in Sri Lanka with at least two (02) years proven experience in social media content creation, including graphics and animations within a public corporation, statutory board, fully government owned company, or a reputed commercial establishment, after obtaining the first Degree.
- OR Diploma in Graphic Design, obtained from Sri Lanka Institute of Printing or any other Diploma (SLQF 3 or above) in Graphic Design, Visual Arts or any other field relevant to the post, obtained from a local or foreign institution, recognized by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission Tertiary (TVEC) in Sri Lanka with at least four (4) years proven experience in social media content creation, including graphics and animations within a public corporation, statutory board, fully government owned company, or a reputed commercial establishment, after obtaining the first Diploma qualification.
- Experience in video production and video editing will be an added advantage.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro).
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms and content trends.
- Basic knowledge of cyber-security topics (preferred but not mandatory).
- Excellent communication skills in Sinhala and English (Tamil proficiency is an advantage).
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines efficiently.
- Strong creative and conceptual thinking skills with attention to detail.
- Age should be not less than 25 years and not more than 35 years.
