IT Executive
About the role
AOD is seeking a full-time Information Technology Executive to provide day-to-day IT support and ensure the smooth operation of IT systems, equipment, and facilities at their Colombo campus. The role involves troubleshooting technical issues for staff, students, and tutors, maintaining workstations and computer labs, supporting classroom and event technology, and managing IT inventory and procurement. Candidates should have at least 2 years of relevant experience, a related bachelor's degree, and expertise in network administration, cloud computing, and virtualization. Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills are required. The position is on-site and offers the opportunity to work in a creative educational environment.
Must have
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in troubleshooting technical issues and providing technical support including IT operations and infrastructure
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant field
- Expertise in network administration, including managing switches, routers, and firewalls
- Strong knowledge of cloud computing, virtualization, and storage technologies
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Nice to have
- Basic knowledge of E commerce Platforms and understanding of e-commerce operations would be an added advantage.
