Cybersecurity Intern
About the role
Perpova Developers is seeking a Cybersecurity Intern for a remote internship focused on supporting the security of web applications, networks, and information systems. The intern will assist with vulnerability assessments, monitor security alerts, document findings, and help implement security best practices. Collaboration with developers and security professionals is expected, including code review for security issues, supporting incident response, and contributing to security documentation. This role provides hands-on experience with modern security tools and frameworks, offering mentorship and opportunities to learn and grow in a real-world environment.
Must have
- Candidates should possess foundational skills in Cybersecurity and Information Security.
- Candidates should possess skills in Network Security and be familiar with basic network protocols and configurations.
- Candidates should possess skills in Application Security and understand common web application vulnerabilities.
- Candidates should possess general cyber skills, including awareness of threat landscapes and security standards.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and collaborate effectively with distributed teams.
Nice to have
- Basic knowledge of security tools (e.g., vulnerability scanners, SIEM, endpoint protection) is beneficial.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or course in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field is preferred.
