Gen AI (Lead Engineer & Architect)
About the role
This position is for a Lead Engineer or Architect specializing in Generative AI, based in Colombo with a hybrid work arrangement. The role involves leading AI/ML engineering projects, designing and implementing generative AI models, collaborating with cross-functional teams, mentoring junior engineers, conducting research on emerging AI technologies, ensuring model quality, and communicating with stakeholders. Candidates should have significant experience in AI/ML, with specific requirements for lead and architect levels. The position is a direct hire with a multinational company and is a permanent role.
Must have
- Strong expertise in Generative AI and agentic AI frameworks.Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java.
- Experience with machine learning libraries and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
Nice to have
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Familiarity with natural language processing (NLP) and computer vision.
- Knowledge of ethical AI practices and bias mitigation strategies.
