Core Network Engineer
About the role
Renrui Lanka is seeking an experienced Core Network Engineer to join their team, working closely with a multinational client's engineering team. The role involves supporting the planning, operation, maintenance, and optimization of mobile core network infrastructure. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting and root cause analysis of mobile core network issues, providing Level 2 and Level 3 technical support, executing firmware and hardware updates, monitoring network performance, managing technical documentation, and collaborating with stakeholders. Candidates should have a relevant engineering degree and hands-on experience in mobile core network environments.
Must have
- Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related engineering discipline.
- Experience in mobile Core Network engineering, operations, and troubleshooting, with hands-on knowledge of CS, PS, IMS, and VoLTE environments.
- Strong understanding of 3GPP standards and protocols, with experience working on core network elements such as MME, SGW, PGW, AMF, SMF, UPF, and DNS.
- Proficiency in network monitoring, packet analysis (e.g., Wireshark), and basic automation using Python or Bash scripting.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and customer management skills, with experience in technical support, project delivery, and English documentation.
