About the role
The Associate Network and Security Engineer will join an Infrastructure and Security Operations team, supporting the configuration, installation, and maintenance of network infrastructure such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless technologies. The role involves monitoring network performance, troubleshooting connectivity and security issues, providing technical support, and assisting with firewall configurations and system upgrades. Candidates should have 1–3 years of experience in networking, infrastructure, or IT support, with a foundational understanding of networking and security concepts. The position offers opportunities to develop hands-on experience and work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure service quality.
Must have
- 1–3 years of experience in networking, infrastructure or IT support.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, routing and switching.
- Familiarity with Cisco or Juniper networking technologies.
- Basic knowledge of firewalls, VPNs and network security concepts.
- Understanding of wireless networking and network monitoring tools.
- Exposure to troubleshooting network connectivity and infrastructure issues.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to learn.
Nice to have
- CCNA or other relevant networking certifications.
- Exposure to Fortinet, Palo Alto or Cisco security technologies.
- Basic understanding of SD-WAN and cloud networking.
- Familiarity with tools such as Wireshark, SolarWinds or Nagios.
