Business Analyst - On Contract
About the role
The Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) is seeking highly motivated professionals to join its IT team as a Business Analyst on a contract basis. The role involves eliciting and analyzing business, functional, and technical requirements, developing business requirement documents, coordinating with various stakeholders, supporting Agile or hybrid project environments, and ensuring compliance with information security and regulatory standards. Candidates must have a relevant bachelor's degree and at least two years of post-qualification experience in business analysis, including documentation and user acceptance testing. Professional qualifications in business analysis and experience in banking, financial services, or government are advantageous. The contract is for up to three years, with negotiable remuneration and benefits including EPF, ETF, and medical coverage.
Must have
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Business Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering (in an Information Technology related discipline) or a related field obtained from a local or foreign University, recognized by the University Grants Commission of Sri Lanka.
- Minimum of two (02) years of post-qualification experience in business analysis including experience in preparing business requirements documents, functional specifications, user stories, process flows, test scenarios, and user acceptance testing documentation.
- Proficiency with business analysis tools, project management and diagramming tools, familiarity with tools like Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization and analysis software

Nice to have
- Experience in banking, financial services, government, or other regulated enterprise environments will be an added advantage.
