Associate Technical Lead
About the role
The Associate Technical Lead will be responsible for designing and developing enterprise-grade solutions that support large-scale global business operations. The role involves implementing scalable and robust distributed applications, leading technical design activities, breaking down business requirements into technical tasks, and developing application components, APIs, and integrations. The position also includes ensuring adherence to engineering standards, conducting code and architectural reviews, driving quality through test automation and CI/CD, mentoring team members, and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver successful technology outcomes. The role is offered on a 6-month renewable contract basis for a client of InTalent Asia in Sri Lanka.
Must have
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or an equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 4+ years of experience developing production-grade enterprise applications.
- Strong experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and Microservices.
- Hands-on backend development experience using Node.js (Express.js) and/or Java (Spring Boot).
- Strong frontend development experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, React.js, and Next.js.
- Good understanding of frontend state management and asynchronous data handling concepts.
- Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases, including database design, querying, and performance optimization.
- Extensive knowledge of AWS Cloud Services, including ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS, and cloud-native application design.
- Experience building, deploying, and maintaining cloud-based enterprise applications.
- Strong exposure to DevOps tools and practices including Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and Git-based version control systems.
- Familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Quality Engineering best practices.
- Experience working within Scrum Agile delivery environments.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality software solutions.
