Project Manager
About the role
The Project Manager role is a contract position based in Sri Lanka within the Information Technology industry. The successful candidate will coordinate with internal teams, external stakeholders, and business partners to ensure successful project execution, leading projects from initiation through delivery while maintaining alignment with business objectives. Responsibilities include developing project scopes, timelines, and resource plans, managing risks, facilitating Agile ceremonies, and ensuring project documentation is maintained. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Agile Project Management, experience managing software development and technology projects, and excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills.
Must have
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Agile Project Management.
- Strong experience managing software development and technology projects.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, project delivery frameworks, and software development lifecycles.
- Sound knowledge of risk identification, risk assessment, and mitigation planning.
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects within fast-paced environments.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Commitment to project quality, customer satisfaction, and delivery excellence.
Nice to have
- A Master's Degree will be an added advantage.
- Professional certifications such as PMP or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) will be an added advantage.
- Business domain knowledge coupled with a technical background will be highly advantageous.
