About the role
The QA Automation Lead is responsible for architecting, developing, and maintaining modular test automation frameworks for web, mobile, and API applications. The role involves designing and executing test cases, integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines, managing defects, validating APIs and system transitions, and advocating for quality throughout the Agile development process. Candidates should have a strong background in programming, automation tools, version control, and database querying, with significant experience in QA automation or software development roles.
Must have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- total 6+ years, in which 3+ years of experience as a QA Automation Engineer, SDET, or Software Developer.
- Strong proficiency in at least one object-oriented or scripting language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or C#).
- Hands-on experience with web and API testing tools/frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, REST Assured, or Postman.
- Proficient in Git and experienced in setting up automated test execution within CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
- Solid understanding of database fundamentals and strong ability to write SQL queries for data verification.
