Senior Quality Assurance Engineer - Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE
About the role
The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for establishing and governing quality engineering processes for Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE and related applications. The role involves implementing standard testing frameworks, ensuring requirements quality and traceability, managing risk-based testing, and overseeing Azure DevOps Test Management. Key responsibilities also include preparing SIT and UAT, managing test artefacts and reporting, and ensuring smooth transition and handover of testing frameworks. Candidates must have hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE, Azure DevOps Test Plans, and be able to demonstrate their testing expertise in detail. The position is remote, for an initial duration of 3 months, working with an international client.
Must have
- Hands-on experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE and other applications, including ELMO
- Demonstrated experience establishing test governance, a quality engineering framework or organisation-wide testing standards—not solely managing test execution.
- Proven experience implementing a risk-based testing approach and applying risk-based prioritisation to testing activities.
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps Test Plans, including test management and execution workflows.
- Demonstrable hands-on testing experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (D365 CE), including the project(s) on which it was tested. Candidates must be able to explain the modules/functional areas covered, testing types and scenarios performed, their individual responsibilities, and how results and defects were validated. Merely using D365 CE as a ticketing tool to log change requests, incidents or client queries does not meet this requirement.
- Experience coordinating SIT and UAT with business users, project teams and third-party vendors.
- Experience defining test strategies or approaches for data migration and system integrations.
- Ability to coach teams, transfer knowledge and hand over a framework that can be operated sustainably by others.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication, with strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation and influencing skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with test environment management and test data management.
- Experience in member-based organizations, insurance, not-for-profit or similarly service-oriented environments.
- ISTQB Advanced Test Manager certification or an equivalent recognized testing/quality qualification.
