Senior Data Scientist
About the role
The Senior Data Scientist is responsible for leading complex and high-impact data science projects, utilizing advanced analytics, machine learning, and experimentation to drive business results. The role involves shaping modeling strategies, delivering scalable solutions, influencing business decisions through data-driven insights, and mentoring team members to enhance overall data science capabilities. Key responsibilities include end-to-end delivery of cross-functional initiatives, defining problem frameworks, designing experimentation approaches, ensuring solution scalability, and collaborating with Data Engineering and ML Platform teams for deployment and lifecycle management. The position also focuses on establishing best practices and driving alignment across teams to ensure successful adoption of solutions.
Must have
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Deep expertise in machine learning, statistics, and applied modeling
- Strong experience designing scalable and impactful solutions
- Advanced experimentation and analytical capabilities
- Strong problem-solving in ambiguous environments
- Strong understanding of production ML systems and trade-offs
- Ability to design solutions with deployment and lifecycle in mind
- Effective collaboration with engineering and platform teams
- Ability to influence architectural decisions related to data, modeling, and deployment in collaboration with specialized teams
- With 6-8 years of experience in data science, with a track record of delivering impactful solutions
