Associate Tech Lead
About the role
The Associate Tech Lead will join a forward-thinking engineering team at LSEG, focusing on building AI-native software solutions that transform technology delivery. The role involves designing, developing, and scaling intelligent applications using Agentic AI, large language models (LLMs), orchestration frameworks, and modern cloud platforms. The Associate Tech Lead will lead the development of AI-powered solutions, contribute to architecture and design decisions, collaborate with various teams, and promote engineering standards and best practices. The position is ideal for an experienced Senior Software Engineer seeking to progress into a technical leadership role while remaining hands-on with software engineering and solution delivery. Must have
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience building and delivering enterprise software solutions.
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience designing, developing, and deploying agentic AI or AI-native solutions.
- Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, C#, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Experience working with large language models (LLMs), AI frameworks, agent orchestration platforms, or retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) architectures.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, distributed systems, APIs, and cloud-native development.
- Experience with modern development practices including CI/CD, automated testing, observability, and DevOps.
- Ability to influence technical decisions and collaborate effectively across multiple teams.
- Passion for mentoring engineers and driving engineering excellence.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer engagement skills.
Nice to have
- Experience building production-grade AI agents or multi-agent systems.
- Experience with Azure AI, OpenAI, Anthropic, LangChain, RAGFlow or similar AI development frameworks.
- Experience implementing AI governance, responsible AI, and security controls in enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of platform engineering, developer experience, and engineering productivity solutions.
- Experience leading technical initiatives across multiple teams without direct people management responsibility.
