Storage Engineer
About the role
The Analyst Storage Engineer will join the Infrastructure Storage Operations team to administer, monitor, troubleshoot, and support enterprise file storage platforms such as NetApp File Storage, Dell EMC Isilon, and IBM Spectrum Scale. The role focuses on ensuring high availability, performance optimization, incident management, and operational support for critical storage environments. Key responsibilities include managing storage systems, performing incident and problem resolution, executing storage provisioning and capacity planning, implementing backup and disaster recovery procedures, collaborating with other IT teams, and maintaining operational documentation. The position requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 1-3 years of experience in storage administration and operations support.
Must have
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in storage administration and operations support.
- Strong hands-on experience with NetApp File Storage Administration.
- Experience in managing and troubleshooting Dell EMC Isilon environments.
- Knowledge of IBM Spectrum Scale (GPFS) administration and support.
- Understanding of storage protocols such as NFS, CIFS/SMB, FC, and iSCSI.
- Experience with storage monitoring, performance analysis, and capacity management.
- Knowledge of high availability, clustering, and disaster recovery concepts.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes, including Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a 24x7 operational support environment.
