About the role
TheBoss.US, a rapidly expanding online gaming company, is seeking a Senior QA Engineer specialized in mobile application testing. The role involves planning, creating, and managing the overall mobile application quality assurance strategy, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and designing and maintaining mobile test automation frameworks. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in mobile test automation, functional and end-to-end testing across iOS and Android, and strong programming skills relevant to test automation. Must have
- 4+ years of experience as a QA Engineer or Test Automation Engineer, with strong hands-on experience in mobile application testing.
- Strong experience testing native or cross-platform mobile applications on iOS and Android.
- Hands-on experience with mobile automation tools such as Appium, Maestro, Detox or similar frameworks.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, Java or another relevant programming language used for test automation.
- Experience designing, developing and maintaining mobile test automation frameworks.
- Strong experience in functional, regression, integration, usability and end-to-end testing of mobile applications.
- Experience testing mobile applications using real devices, emulators and simulators.
- Good understanding of iOS and Android operating systems, mobile application architecture and platform-specific behaviours.
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman.
- Experience with mobile debugging and troubleshooting tools, including Android Studio, Xcode or similar tools.
- Good understanding of mobile application release processes, testing strategies and the software development lifecycle.
- Experience with device compatibility testing, network connectivity testing and mobile application performance testing.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A strong sense of ownership and pride in delivering high-impact work.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Understanding of Git workflows, Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience testing React Native or Flutter applications.
- Experience with mobile testing platforms such as BrowserStack, Firebase Test Lab or similar services.
- Experience with mobile performance, security and accessibility testing.
- Familiarity with mobile application distribution and release processes, including TestFlight and Google Play Console.
- Experience using AI tools to improve test automation, documentation and QA workflows.
- Experience with frontend automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress or Selenium.
- Experience working in a start-up, the online gaming industry or a highly regulated environment.
