Network & Security Team Lead
About the role
The Network & Security Team Lead will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of Network & Security Engineers, managing team performance, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality network and security services. The role involves overseeing service delivery to meet SLA and KPI targets, providing technical leadership for complex issues, and supporting enterprise networking environments including routing, switching, firewalls, SD-WAN, and wireless. The position also requires effective stakeholder management and communication with both technical and non-technical audiences. The company operates in the IT industry and offers a hybrid working arrangement based in Moratuwa. Must have
- 5+ years of experience in Network & Security Engineering.
- 2+ years in a Team Lead, Senior Engineer, or Technical Lead capacity.
- Experience working within Managed Services, NOC, SOC, or enterprise support environments.
- Strong understanding of ITIL service management principles.
- Strong experience with enterprise networking technologies including: Routing & Switching (BGP, OSPF, VLANs), Firewalls and Security Policies, SD-WAN Technologies, Wireless Networking, Network Monitoring Tools.
- Experience with one or more of: Juniper Networks, Palo Alto Networks, Cisco, Aruba.
- Experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms.
- Knowledge of network monitoring and management platforms.
