Senior DevOps Engineer, Sri Lanka
About the role
Intrepid Travel is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join their Global Technology team in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The role involves designing, operating, and improving AWS infrastructure, delivery pipelines, and automation using Terraform as the main Infrastructure as Code platform. The engineer will work closely with various teams to enhance platform reliability, CI/CD pipelines, deployment practices, and system monitoring, as well as strengthen security and cost efficiency. The position requires hands-on experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, and proficiency with AWS, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes/EKS, CI/CD pipelines, and scripting. Must have
- 2+ years hands-on experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, platform engineering, or SRE, proficient in designing, operating and improving AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC), including creating reusable modules and managing infrastructure across multiple environments.
- Strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes/ EKS, including deploying and managing applications in production environments.
- Experience building and improving CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, to support automated deployments and release automation.
- A solid understanding of AWS services, networking, and cloud security (including technologies such as VPC, IAM, EC2, EKS/ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3, Route 53, load balancing, etc.)
- Experience with monitoring, and incident management, using tools such as CloudWatch, New Relic, or similar platforms.
- Strong scripting and automation skills using Bash, Python, or similar tools.
