About the role
The Founder's Associate – Product & Cyber Innovation role is a full-time position based in Colombo with an emerging cybersecurity and technology company. The role involves working closely with the founders to support product development, strategy, and new initiatives, taking products from ideation through research, development, and implementation. Key responsibilities include conducting market and competitor research, supporting customer discovery, contributing to product planning, and preparing research findings and documentation. The ideal candidate is entry-level, interested in product management and development, and has a background or academic knowledge in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or cybersecurity. Must have
- A degree or be a final-year undergraduate in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or a related field.
- An interest in product management, product development and creating new products.
- Some academic knowledge or background in cybersecurity.
- Strong leadership, teamwork and communication skills.
- A proactive, analytical and problem-solving mindset.
- A strong willingness to learn, take ownership and work in a fast-paced environment.
- The ability to stay committed, work through challenges and take initiative.
Nice to have
- A technical background would be an added advantage.
- A background in sports or competitive/team-based activities would be an added advantage, as we value the discipline, teamwork, resilience and commitment that these experiences can develop.
