Technical Lead – DevOps & Platform Engineering
About the role
The Technical Lead – DevOps & Platform Engineering role at Bridge BSS Talent involves architecting and leading all DevOps/SRE aspects for three products, including deployment architecture for a SaaS platform and ensuring high availability of mission-critical deployments across regions. The position requires hands-on leadership of a skilled engineering team, collaboration with development and solution teams, and responsibility for timely, high-quality SRE deliveries. Candidates should have a strong background in DevOps and software engineering, with extensive experience in distributed systems, Kubernetes, GCP, Docker, observability tools, middleware, and Linux system administration. The role is based in Colombo, Sri Lanka, with onsite or hybrid work arrangements, and is offered as a full-time, extendable contract.
Must have
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field or BSc equivalent qualification
- 5+ year(s) of experience in DevOps along with software engineering is mandatory.
- Extensive experience in distributed systems is essential
- Extensive experience in K8S, GCP, Docker, observability tools, middleware, is essential
- Extensive experience in various devops tools such as helm, ansible is required
- Extensive experience in Linux system administration tools is required
- Experience in performance troubleshooting of backend services, data bases, message brokers, load balancers, etc
- Experience in various monitoring tools such as Prometheus
- Well experienced in various data bases, Kubernetes, various load balancers, GCP
- Extensive experience with Linux/Unix system administration
- Sound knowledge of operating system concepts
- Very good communication skill in Sinhala/English is essential
- Experience in managing technical teams
