About the role

The Manual QA Engineer (Mobile Applications) role focuses on ensuring the quality, reliability, usability, and performance of mobile applications through comprehensive manual testing. The position involves designing and executing test cases, identifying defects, validating user journeys across Android and iOS platforms, and collaborating with developers and QA team members. The engineer will also prepare test reports, maintain documentation, and support automation testing activities when required. The company seeks candidates with at least 3 years of hands-on software quality assurance experience, particularly in manual testing of mobile apps, and strong analytical and communication skills.

Must have

Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance, with strong emphasis on manual testing.
Proven experience in testing mobile applications on Android and/or iOS platforms.
Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, test case design techniques, defect life cycle, and QA best practices.
Experience in functional, regression, exploratory, and end-to-end testing.
Ability to analyse requirements, identify edge cases, and independently develop comprehensive test scenarios.
Experience with defect-tracking tools such as Jira and test management tools.
Basic experience in API testing using Postman or similar tools.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Nice to have

Exposure to automation testing tools such as Appium, Selenium, or Playwright.
Basic knowledge of automation frameworks and scripting languages.
Experience with mobile testing tools such as Android Studio, Xcode, or device emulators.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and mobile application release processes.
Experience using Charles Proxy, BrowserStack, or similar tools for mobile debugging and cross-device testing.
