Associate Software Engineer - Level II (Platform & Integration Engineer)
About the role
The Associate Software Engineer - Level II (Platform & Integration Engineer) at H Connect International is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining system integrations using APIs, webhooks, and integration platforms. The role involves managing and enhancing Workato or equivalent iPaaS automations, developing Azure-based cloud infrastructure, writing scripts and small applications for integration, and applying version control and CI/CD practices. The engineer will contribute to solution architecture, apply AI tools for integration development, support API management, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver integration solutions. Must have
- Relevant academic and/or professional qualifications in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 – 5 years of experience in platform engineering, system integration, API development, integration platform management, or a similar role.
- Experience with Azure or another major cloud platform, with the ability to operate and troubleshoot cloud-hosted services.
- Hands-on experience with Workato or a comparable integration/iPaaS platform such as MuleSoft, Boomi, or Azure Logic Apps, with Workato experience considered an added advantage.
- Solid understanding of APIs, webhooks, and common integration patterns, with practical experience using version control tools such as Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency in programming or scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or C# to build and extend integration solutions.
- Working knowledge of AI-assisted tools and the ability to apply them to support development, troubleshooting, and problem-solving activities.
- Experience contributing to solution architecture, technical design, or integration platform initiatives.
- Exposure to API management, monitoring, observability, security, or identity management will be an added advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills, effective communication skills, a self-starter mindset, and the ability to work independently with a strong focus on delivery.
