Senior Project Engineer
About the role
The Senior Project Engineer role is responsible for designing and delivering technology solutions in collaboration with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders. The position involves developing technical architectures, facilitating workshops, preparing documentation, coordinating user acceptance testing, and providing post-implementation support. The engineer will also provide technical leadership, support pre-sales activities, contribute to financial and commercial objectives, and drive capability development and innovation. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in systems integration and enterprise technology solutions, with strong consulting, communication, and problem-solving skills. The role is offered by InTalent Asia on behalf of their client in Colombo, Sri Lanka, within the IT and systems integration industry.
Must have
- Tertiary education, diploma, or relevant technical qualifications will be highly regarded.
- 5–10 years of practical experience across one or more of the following technology domains: Collaboration & Unified Communications, Wireless & Mobility, Networking, Cyber Security, Cloud Technologies, Data Centre Infrastructure (Private, Public, Hybrid), Compute & Storage, End User Computing and Middleware & Database Infrastructure
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience working within a Systems Integrator environment.
- Experience developing technology roadmaps and capability strategies will be highly regarded.
- Proven success designing, consulting, and implementing enterprise technology solutions.
- Experience supporting Enterprise, Government, and SME customers.
- Strong customer-facing consulting and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
- Passion for technology and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Strong ownership, accountability, and continuous learning mindset.
Nice to have
- Cisco CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE certifications.
- Vendor certifications from Cisco, HP Aruba, Palo Alto, Microsoft, VMware, AWS, Oracle, IBM, Riverbed, BeyondTrust, Meraki, CWNE, or equivalent technologies.
- Additional infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, or networking certifications will be highly regarded.
