Technical Sales Executive / Sales Engineer
About the role
The Technical Sales Executive / Sales Engineer at Nimrod Systems (Pvt) Ltd will be responsible for driving sales of security screening equipment and software/AI solutions across various sectors, including government, aviation, maritime, infrastructure, corporate, and commercial. The role involves identifying new business opportunities, especially for software and AI solutions, assessing customer needs, delivering technical presentations, preparing proposals, and building long-term customer relationships. Candidates should have a solid technical foundation and be comfortable with both sales and technical solution integration. The position is full-time and based in Colombo, with opportunities for hands-on exposure to advanced technologies and collaboration with the regional team in Singapore.
Must have
- At least 2 years' experience in technical sales, pre-sales, business development, or a customer-facing technical role (e.g. systems integration, field engineering, or IT support).
- Experience in one or more of: security systems, CCTV / video surveillance, ICT, software, networking, automation, or related industries.
- A working understanding of IT and networking fundamentals, and the ability to quickly learn how software and AI-based systems work.
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with a good command of English. Sinhala and/or Tamil is an advantage.
- Experience with tenders or government / institutional procurement is a strong advantage.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and willing to travel as required.
