AI Engineer
About the role
Digital400 is seeking an AI Engineer to join their expanding team. The role involves designing, developing, and deploying AI-powered applications and machine learning solutions, with a focus on LLMs, RAG architectures, and AI Agents. Responsibilities include model development, data preprocessing, API integration, AI evaluation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver business-focused AI solutions. Candidates should have strong programming skills in Python and/or C#, a solid understanding of software engineering and ML fundamentals, and experience with frameworks such as Scikit-learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow. The position offers the opportunity to work with international clients and teams, and provides a flexible work environment within a fast-growing technology company.
Must have
- Strong programming skills in Python and/or C# (.NET).
- Good understanding of software engineering, APIs, and backend development.
- Knowledge of ML fundamentals and model training/evaluation.
- Experience with Scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar frameworks.
- Understanding of LLMs, Generative AI, prompt engineering, and context engineering.
- Familiarity with RAG, embeddings, semantic search, and vector databases.
- Understanding of AI agents, function calling, and tool integration.
- Knowledge of AI evaluation, model performance, and security.
- Familiarity with Git, testing, and modern software development practices.
- 2+ years of professional experience in software engineering, AI engineering, machine learning, or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI, Data Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to emerging AI technologies.
Nice to have
- Experience with Data engineering, ETL/ELT, SQL and data pipelines
- Experience with Microsoft Azure, Azure OpenAI or Azure AI Foundry
- Experience with Deep learning, NLP, computer vision, or model fine-tuning
- Experience with MLOps, model deployment, and monitoring
- Experience with Docker, CI/CD, and cloud deployments
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric or modern data platforms
