The Senior Tech Lead (Senior Associate level) at London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) is responsible for designing, building, and improving software and infrastructure with a focus on increasing delivery speed, system reliability, and team knowledge. The role involves working independently, contributing to team design decisions, and taking responsibility for the quality of delivered work. Key areas include applying technical knowledge, debugging and solving problems, considering customer needs, managing risk through secure engineering practices, supporting and coaching peers, and continuously learning and adapting to new priorities. Must have
- Apply designs, deploy and test software, infrastructure or networking solutions using growing domain knowledge, including relevant financial markets
- Debug, solve problems and take ownership of features, systems or configurations
- Consider customer needs in work, contribute ideas to improve product, respond quickly to operational issues, and seek feedback to improve work
- Apply secure engineering practices to reduce delivery risk across software and infrastructure
- Use testing, observability, automation and safe configuration to identify and resolve risks
- Flag blockers and contribute to safe, resilient delivery
- Take accountability for delivering reliable work
- Support and coach peers and share knowledge openly
- Contribute to team outcomes by collaborating effectively and helping others succeed through trust and shared ownership
- Apply structured thinking and data to solve problems, test assumptions, and learn from outcomes
