Senior SQL Developer
About the role
The Senior SQL Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, optimizing, and maintaining Microsoft SQL Server databases and related components such as stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views. The role involves developing complex T-SQL queries, SSIS packages, and SSRS reports, as well as analyzing and optimizing database performance. The developer will collaborate with various stakeholders, troubleshoot and resolve database issues, and provide technical guidance to junior developers. The position offers permanent, hybrid work with split-shift hours and above-market compensation paid in US Dollars, along with international exposure and professional development opportunities. Must have
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience as a SQL Developer, Database Developer, or in a similar capacity.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL.
- Strong experience developing and optimizing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views.
- Hands-on experience with SSIS and SSRS.
- Strong understanding of database design, normalization, indexing, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Experience with SQL Server database administration and troubleshooting.
- Experience working in a Windows/WinTel environment, including Visual Studio and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
- Practical experience developing SQL Server-based applications using T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS, and XML.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with offshore teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
