Operation Intern
About the role
STEM Link is seeking an Operations Intern to support the day-to-day operations of its bootcamps, programs, workshops, and events. The intern will work closely with the founders and directors, coordinate with students, mentors, and internal teams, manage schedules and operational checklists, and help with communication and execution across various functions. The role involves using tools like Google Workspace and Notion, being present during key program days, and supporting teams during high-pressure periods. The ideal candidate is highly organized, communicative, calm under pressure, and fluent in English and Sinhala. This is a paid, full-time, hybrid internship based in Colombo 03, offering direct exposure to startup leadership and the opportunity for long-term growth.
Must have
- Highly organized with a sharp eye for details
- Comfortable talking to people and following up when needed
- Able to handle multiple tasks in parallel without losing clarity
- Naturally social, approachable, and communicative
- Calm under pressure and proactive with solutions
- Fluent in English and Sinhala (spoken & written)
Nice to have
- Been involved in Leo Club / Rotaract / AIESEC
- IEEE or university societies
- Event organizing committees
- Student leadership roles or volunteering initiatives
- Studied Business Management (certificate, diploma, or degree) or followed any structured learning related to management, operations, leadership, or organization
- Taken part in workshops, online courses, or learning initiatives is also something we would consider
- If you’re coming from a software engineer/tech background, it’s a plus point

This is a 1-year paid internship with a monthly stipend of LKR 30,000. The work setup is hybrid: office days are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, while Tuesday and Thursday are remote.
